Plaza Player Room Review Not bad, Not great. 01/13/06, Player: shadow520 Total Rating: 3.60 Room Quality Rating: 3 Room Quality Description: They have a poker "area", not room. They also deal Pan, which I have no idea what it even is! Anyway, tables are ok, nothing really stuck out in my mind about them. Chairs were ok. Competition Rating: 4 Competition Description: I played 2/4L and 1/2NL. Profited both sessions. In fact, I've played here in the past and profited 85% of the time. Many are locals, but they seem to like to see a lot of flops. If you pick your places and hands carefully, you can take down most hands you play. There are some suckouts, but aggressive betting on the turn can work out well. Dealer Rating: 4 Dealer Description: Only one misdeal I noticed and that was in a tournament. No pots pushed to the losing hands or anything like that. They all seemed friendly, until one (obnoxious) lady told one to "shut up and deal". I think she *meant* shuffle up and deal, but either way she got stern warnings from the dealer, then floor, then poker room manager. She had a heavy accent, but was easily understandable, so she definatly said shut up and deal. Cocktail Rating: 4 Cocktail Description: Service was good, but they are nothing to look at. Management Rating: 4 Management Description: They dealt with the obnoxious lady as they should have, they are friendly, and make many announcements to try and get players in the game for open seats. List is paper, but I visited on a Thursday PM and there wasn't much going but 2/4L. A 1/2 NL game got going later in the evening. Tourneys seemed to be run fine. Comps Rating: 4 Comps Description: $5 comp for 4 hours. In the past I've not had any problems getting a comp here. I didn't try this time. Back to Plaza Room Review |
