The Tuscany Hotel and Casino Opens Poker Room

Room: Tuscany
Summary: The Tuscany opened its brand new poker room this weekend, and it’s a very charming little poker room, with a full bar right inside the room. How cool is that?
Content: The Tuscany is a relatively small hotel and casino situated a few blocks East of the strip on Flamingo Road. Until this past weekend, I had never sat foot in the place. But, upon learning from a few loyal readers that the Tuscany was opening a brand new poker room, I was compelled to stop by. I’m glad I did. The Tuscany management did a pretty nice job with this poker room.
Many Las Vegas casinos have opened less-than-laudable poker rooms during the past year. I’ve come to accept this. The truth is that poker does not earn the casino a ton of cash, so many casinos are content to just set up a few poker tables in the middle of the floor, and call it a day. Thankfully, the Tuscany wasn’t one of these.
The Tuscany built a very nice little poker room. The person writing the checks at the Tuscany knows this, because he definitely spent some money on this poker room, and it shows. Located near the front of the casino, the Tuscany poker room is home to five brand new tables, and a full-blown bar.
Yes, that’s right – a full bar is located right inside the poker room. This is a first for Vegas card rooms, and this really is the defining feature of the Tuscany poker room. When you set foot in this poker room, it actually feels a bit like stepping inside a small bar. There are neon-glowing MGD and Miller Lite signs hanging on the walls, and a bartender stands nearby ready to take your order.
Another noteworthy aspect of the Tuscany poker room is that smoking is allowed. During the past year, a no-smoking trend has swept through nearly every poker room in Vegas, and options for smokers are severely limited. So, if you’re the sort of person who enjoys lighting up at the poker table (and you don’t mind if others do the same), then you should consider the Tuscany. It’s one of the few Vegas poker rooms where smoking is allowed.
If you’re looking for low limit poker, super-quick drink service, and a smoking environment, then the Tuscany poker room will meet your requirements. You can read more about the Tuscany poker room here.
