Content: The Stratosphere is back in the poker business!
You may recall that the Stratosphere closed the doors at its poker room several years ago. Actually, back then, there weren’t any doors to close. That’s because the old Stratosphere poker “room” was just a few poker tables set up on the casino floor. But, that was back when poker was dead in Las Vegas. I know – it’s hard to believe that most people didn’t want to play poker, but it’s true. Just a few years ago, nobody cared about playing cards. But today, poker is more alive than ever in Sin City, and the Stratosphere has resurrected its poker operations.
Early reports from a trusted source indicate that the brand new Stratosphere poker room is pretty nice. It is rumored to be an 8-table room, near the sports book. And, unlike the old Stratosphere poker “room”, this time around the action is spread across poker tables in a real room.
The poker room sounds like it has a pretty basic setup, with good spacing for players, and large tables. The Stratosphere poker room is spreading low limit Texas Hold’em, plus $1/2 No Limit games with a $100 buy-in. Also, poker tournaments are already planned, although I don’t have a schedule to post just yet.
I’ll stop by soon and scope out the action personally. In the meantime, if you have already played there (or at any other poker room in Vegas), please post a trip report or poker room review.
If you have any information about the new Stratosphere poker room, or any news or rumors about any other poker room in Las Vegas, please send it to info@allvegaspoker.com – All sources are kept in strict confidence, and news at All Vegas Poker is posted anonymously.
