Dealing cards in Vegas can be a pretty good gig. I have a few friends who are in the business, and they make some pretty good coin. If you think becoming a poker dealer sounds like a fun job, then you should contact the Stratosphere.
A loyal reader sent me what appears to be a job posting by the Stratosphere, which is opening its new poker room soon. The Stratosphere closed its poker room a few years ago, like so many Las Vegas casinos. But, the renewed interest in poker is obviously causing casinos to reconsider.
The great thing about the Stratosphere is that it looks like you can get a job without any dealing experience. It appears they will train you for free. You can read the job posting below.

I did call the Stratosphere to confirm this, and it is legit. There is no official announcement on exactly when the poker room will open, but I expect it to come online within the next 4-6 weeks.
