News Holy Smokes! Station Casino Poker Rooms Go No Smoking. Sunset Station, Texas Station, Santa Fe Station, and Palace Station poker rooms all go no smoking - Boulder Station expected to go no smoking in May. Date: 04/07/05 Room: Sunset Station Summary: Sunset Station, Texas Station, Santa Fe Station, and Palace Station poker rooms all go no smoking - Boulder Station expected to go no smoking in May. Content: Your days are numbered for smoking at any Las Vegas poker room. Earlier this week the Stardust poker room went no smoking, officially marking the end of smoking at Las Vegas Strip card rooms. And today I receieved word that Sunset Station was going no smoking. I contacted Sunset Station to confirm this, and as of April 1, 2005 no smoking is allowed anywhere in the poker room, except during graveyard hours (midnight until 8am). I contacted all of the other Station poker rooms, and received the following information: Palace Station: No smoking except during graveyard hours. Texas Station: No smoking at any time. Santa Fe Station: No smoking at any time. Boulder Station: Smoking allowed until May (but rumored to go no smoking sometime in May). The clear trend is no smoking allowed in Las Vegas poker rooms. The notable exception at this time appears to be at the Palms, where poker players can still smoke at the tables any hour of the day. |
