Bellagio poker room, arguably the busiest and most well known poker room in the city, is currently installing a major upgrade to the room: Genesis Bravo electronic list management and tableside comp tracking units.
The Genesis System, currently in use at MGM Grand, Treasure Island, Harrah's properties, as well as all Station's poker rooms, utilizes a tableside swipe unit to accurately track all players seated at the table, and notify the desk of any open seats.
Also, the system tracks hourly comps to the minute, so all players can know that the time they put in is adding up accurately.
Previously, Bellagio was heavily criticized for lacking any sort of electronic waitlist system and instead relied on paper and pen lists. Also, Bellagio used a very antiquated comp system that involved a flat amlunt paper comp issued at the floorman's discretion.
With the new system, comps will be accrued electronically on the MGM Mirage Players' Card, and all time will be accounted for.
It is unclear at this time what the exact comp rate will be for the various stakes that the room commonly spreads. It is assumed that all games will comp at least $1 per hour of play.
