Bally's Hotel and Casino, located on the bust corner of Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd, made the controversial decision to close its Race and Sports Book for budgetary reasons back on March 31st, 2009. It was unclear at that time when the Sportsbook would reopen.

AVP has been informed that the Bally's Race and Sports Book will be re-opening on Wednesday, August 26th, in time for college football wagering.

The 200 seat theatre style sports book is one of the largest on the Strip, and offers over 30 screens and 12 betting windows.
