If you're planning a trip to the Bellagio poker room, get ready for a little surprise. Last week the Bellagio poker room started its remodeling and expansion project. The plan is to expand the poker room by 10 tables. The cage will also be enlarged, and there will be more office space in the back. No word on whether any new amenties will be added.
During the expansion project the interior of the poker room is closed off. However, 26 tables are still open on the casino floor right outside the poker room. Of course, this environment does attract quite a few railbirds hoping to catch a glimpse of the action they've been seeing on TV. The poker room expansion project should completed within two months.
This is a good move. The Bellagio poker room normally has more players than seats, especially Thursday through Sunday, when the list is frequently several hours long for 4/8 to 15/30 games.
