Back on June 19th, AllVegasPoker.com broke the story that Excalibur was re-hiring back its formerly laid off poker dealers in anticipation of closing its electronic room and reopening its traditional card room.
Public statements have been made by Ptek and MGM Mirage companies involved at this point, and the official closing day of Las Vegas' first and only all electronic poker room is upcoming on Sunday, July 5th.
The traditional poker room will reopen on Friday, July 10th.
It is uncertain at this time whether all previous promotions that were run when the room was a traditional card room will return (these included a wheel spin for Aces cracked and a progressive Bad Bead Jackpot with a static qualifier of Aces full of 10s beaten).
Excalibur has had a continuously operating card room since the casino's opening in 1990.

MGM Mirage, in a public statement, has said that they learned that their players prefer live dealers.
It is uncertain where (if anywhere) the electronic tables will turn up next in Las Vegas. TI and Paris have both declined the opportunity to install the tables.
