Many people that played cash games last year at the WSOP recall that the button straddle was in play (sometimes known incorrectly as the Mississippi Straddle).
The Rio's poker room implemented the option on all their cash games after the WSOP last year, and continues to offer it today.
About 10 days ago, Harrah's Las Vegas decided to allow the button straddle on all its cash games, followed immediately by Flamingo and O'Sheas.
Today, Imperial Palace and Bill's followed suit.
At this point, the only HET properties in Las Vegas that DO NOT allow button straddle are Bally's and Caesars Palace. It is unknown if Caesars or Bally's will follow suit any time soon.

The button straddle is simply an optional straddle on the button. The button straddle takes precedence over the under the gun straddle, and must be posted before the first card is dealt.
When the button straddle is in play, the action starts on the Small Blind, and continues around as usual. The Button straddle is live and the button has the option to raise.
Unlike a Mississippi Straddle, which can technically be done from any position, the button straddle can only be done on the button.
Other properties that allow straddling on the button include Hard Rock* and Stratosphere.

*Hard Rock has their own version of the button straddle, where the action starts UTG and skips the button, allowing the blinds to act before retrning to the button for last option. Hard Rock is the only room to allow this type of straddle.
