Bally's formally closed their long standing Race and Sports Book for the summer today in what can only be described as a major cost cutting measure.
In an unprecedented cost cutting meneuver Harrah's Entertainment has opted to shut down the 200 seat theatre like Sports Book, often cited to be one of the best in Las Vegas.
Encompassing over 30 televisions, 12 bettign windows, and a secluded location away from the center gaming pit, the Bally's Race and Sports book is now shut down for an undetermined length of time, with the property only citing that it will be closed "for the Summer".
Bally's sister property, Paris Las Vegas, will be keeping their sports book open, and all Bally's guests are being redirected to the Paris Sports Book to place their wagers. Paris is connected to Bally's through a casino level thoroughfare.
According to preliminary news reports, 10 employees will be affected by this temporary closure.
