In a bold move to help stimulate late night poker business, the Palace Station Hotel and Casino poker room has decided to allow smoking at the poker tables from 12:30AM to 8:30AM, 7 days a week.
This move is in response to player demand and to help stimulate the action in the late night hours.
Like most poker rooms in Las Vegas, Palace Station used to allow smoking 24/7, then decided to limit it to graveyard quite a while back. They then decided to go completely smoke free. Earlier this year, they decided to bring back smoking starting at 12:30AM and ending at 8:30AM.
Having visted the Palace Station poker room in the last week on graveyard, I noticed that there were no less then 5 people smoking at the table in the 2/4LHE game, and a few others had cigarettes ready.
The 1 and 10 seats (seats located on either side of the dealer) are non-smoking seats. Ashtrays are allowed on the table.
Palace Station offers 2/4LHE and 4/8LHE regularly, with 1/2NL spreading most weekends and weekday evenings.
Other rooms that allow smoking at the table include Palms (graveyard only, in the limit room), Boulder Station (24/7), Arizona Charlies Decatur (24/7), and Club Fortune (24/7).
