Date: 08/05/06 Room: Venetian Summary: The Venetian poker room was the busiest I’ve ever seen it tonight. Props to Venetian for drawing a crowd! Content: I’ve played at Venetian half a dozen times since it opened, but I’ve never seen it as busy as it was tonight. I don’t know if this is just because of the WSOP traffic, but the Venetian poker room was on fire tonight! At its peak, 80-85% of the tables were in use, which is an enormous improvement from earlier this summer. The Venetian poker room is easily among the top poker rooms in Las Vegas, and many players report that it’s their absolute favorite (just read the player reviews). I can see why. The comps are the best in Vegas, the furnishings are the highest quality, there is tons of space between all of the tables, top shelf liquors flow freely, and there is a nice mix of games. I spent the evening at the $6/12 limit Hold’em game. This was the only $6/12 table going tonight, and despite losing my entire buy-in ($300 smackers), I had a great time. I’ll be visiting more often. And if you haven’t checked out this poker room yet, you should consider dropping by. |
