Content: Station Casinos $300,000 Poker Plus Tournament

It’s time, once again, for the Station Casinos semi-annual freeroll poker tournament. All you need to do is play 50 hours of live cash games in any of the Station rooms (Texas, Santa Fe, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset, Texas, Red Rock, or Palace) and you’ll automatically be entered in a tournament with a prize pool of $300,000!

The qualifying period starts April 1, 2006 and runs through May 31st, 2006. Hours must be tracked with a Station Casinos Boarding Pass player’s card where you’ll also receive $1/hour of play in the form of comps that may be used in any restaurant in the casino. A source at Green Valley Ranch has informed me that they are expecting upwards of 600-700 players and possibly more with the opening of the new Red Rock Station poker room on April 18th, 2006..

First place will take home a cool $60,000! The top 300 places will be getting paid and all players knocked out on day 1 will receive $50. As a bonus, the chip leaders after the 1st day will split $6,000 equally. The number of leaders is still to be determined.

Combine this qualifying period along with the Station Casinos Bad Beat Progressive Jackpot and we have an exceptional one – two combo for Station Casinos. The bad beat has been known to reach into the low to mid $200,000 range. All the players in live games in all the Station Poker rooms will split it up if it’s hit while they are playing. As the jackpot gets larger, the requirement becomes lower and the jackpot becomes easier to hit. Details are available in any of the Station Poker rooms.

Tournament Payouts:
1st $60,000
2nd 20,000
3rd 10,000
4th 7,500
5th 5,000
6th 4,000
7th 3,000
8th 2,500
9th 2,000
10th 1,500
11th-20th $1,000
21st-30th 750
31st-50th 500
51st-300th 100
All players knocked out on day 1: $50
Chip leaders after the 1st day split $6,000 equally.
