Summary: According to The Venetian website, the upcoming poker room is set to open on April 2nd. 32 main floor tables, seven high-limit tables. $4-$8 limit to $4,000-$8,000 “played regularly”

Content: Thank goodness The Venetian didn’t choose April 1 to open its new poker room. I would have felt obligated to begin this story with a stupid joke about the opening possibly being an April Fools joke. Nope, The Venetian saved itself. Barely.

The Venetian recently updated its website and finally published the opening date of its new poker room – April 2, 2006. Based on the recent published description, and the information obtained from conversations with management at The Venetian, there is absolutely no question that The Venetian is aiming to open the best poker room in Las Vegas. You can judge for yourself on April 2. Hope to see you there!

Below is an excerpt from the information recently published about The Venetian poker room.

--------------------------------------

“On April 2nd, discover a whole different side to Las Vegas poker – trendy, luxurious, and exceptionally rewarding … At nearly 11,000 square feet, The Venetian Poker Room will not only be among the city’s largest venues for this classic table game, but also its most exquisite – draped in rich leather and wood, and thoughtfully equipped with the latest technology. Rise to the challenge of your choice – whether your preferred style is Texas Hold ‘Em, Stud, or Omaha. Experience the setting destined to become the premier poker room in Las Vegas.”
