O’Shea’s Casino Opens Poker Room - Sort of.

Summary: Two poker tables recently fell off a truck and landed in front of O’Shea’s. Evidently somebody thought they looked good there, because nobody cared to move them. SNGs are now being offered at the entrance to the casino - 10 feet from the sidewalk.

Date: 03/07/06
Subject: O'Sheas

Content

O’Shea’s brings new meaning to the word poker “room” with its latest addition of two poker tables at the front door. I have not visited O’Shea’s yet to check this out personally, so I’ll just share with you an e-mail I recently received about O’Shea’s efforts (published with permission).

---------------------------

Subject: O’Shea’s Poker Room Open (and I mean really “open”!)

Left Caesars after watching some of the Heads Up Tourney this evening and
was going to Margaritaville for dinner when I saw poker tables nearly on the
sidewalk at O'Sheas. Two stud tables being used for no limit sit-n-go. 9
seats. Seats 2 and 3 were two feet from the sidewalk. You could hear the porn
card peddlers snapping the cards out on the curb. Wind was blowing through the
open doors and it had to be below 60 degrees at the table. Even the dealer
was complaining. Standard banquet chairs. No rail, no rope, no nothing.
Located in the entry door near the corner of the Strip and the alley between
O'Sheas and the Flamingo.

Only offering one table Sit-N-Go freeze out. $60 ..$50 to prize, $7 to
house, $3 to dealer. Winner take all. 11 AM to 3 AM. No cash games. No other
tournaments. Should be about 40 degrees at the table by 3 AM.

Tournaments start anytime they get 8 players seated. 1000 in chips. Blinds
go up every 15 minutes.

BB progression..50, 100, 200, 400, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 16000

Even worse than the location was they allow smoking at the table.

Pass.

-----------------------------

Well, I think that sums it up nicely. I did contact the new "poker room" to confirm this information, and it's true. The poker tables are literally 10 feet from the sidewalk. I bet these games really attract some top-shelf poker talent . SNGs usually run all day long and into the evening. What do you think?

Thanks very much to the source that provided this information!
