South Coast Starts $37 No Limit Poker Tournaments Today.
South Coast poker room now offering $37 buy-in no limit Texas Hold’em tournaments daily at 10:00 AM.
Date: 01/16/06
Room: South Point
Summary: South Coast poker room now offering $37 buy-in no limit Texas Hold’em tournaments daily at 10:00 AM.
Content: Just confirmed - beginning this morning at 10:00 AM the poker room at South Coast is holding daily no limit Hold’em tournaments. The buy-in is $37, and players start with $1,500 chips. Signups start at 9:00 AM.
The $37 total entry fee is at the low range of Vegas poker tournament options. The majority of poker players in Vegas are low limit players, so my feeling is that poker tournaments with buy-ins less than $50 have the greatest likelihood of attracting players.
The source I spoke with at South Coast said that he would be really happy if they were able to get at least two tables going, and perhaps grow from there.
Here is the complete tournament breakdown.
$37 buy-in ($30 to pool, $5 to house, $2 to dealers)
81% payback.
No Add-ons, No Re-buys
Prize payouts:
Based on 40 players, 50%/30%/20%
Based on 50 players, 40/30/20/10
Start with 1500 chips, all levels are 20 minutes
25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 200/400 (ante 25), 300/600 (ante 50)
10 minute break

Special thanks to the source that supplied the initial tip about the new poker tournaments at South Coast.
