Room: General News
Summary: 2005 has been a heck of a year for the Vegas poker scene. A warm and sincere thank you is in order to all of the loyal readers and contributors of All Vegas Poker. And here’s to 2006 being even better.
Content: It’s 11:00 p.m. on New Years Eve, and I’m sitting in my office with a bottle of cheap champagne, reminiscing about 2005, and eagerly anticipating 2006.
2005 was a heck of a year for the Vegas poker scene. Off the cuff I can think of several major poker room openings including MGM, Wynn, and Caesars Palace. Of course the Bellagio was also remodeled as well, and more than a half-dozen smaller Las Vegas poker rooms opened their doors.
2005 was the first full operating year for All Vegas Poker, and our community has grown exponentially. The website now draws more than 1,500 readers each day, and the average reader views more than eight pages on each visit (which is huge by modern website standards).
More importantly, the All Vegas Poker community has built a remarkable resource for poker players visiting Las Vegas. In 2005, the loyal members of All Vegas Poker have contributed nearly 800 unique poker room reviews, and 250 trip reports. That is a ton of content which is extremely helpful to Las Vegas card players.
2006 should be even better. There will be a lot of Vegas poker news to cover, including gigantic poker room openings like Venetian, which is expected in a few months, as well as niche poker room openings such as Hooters.
But in addition to providing coverage of poker room openings and updates, All Vegas Poker will introduce an enormous canister of improvements in 2006. We’re going to introduce all of the most requested features.
In the early weeks of 2006 you will see poker room category ratings, review ratings, member rankings, trip report categories, printer-friendly pages, and a control panel. All Vegas Poker will also finally launch its poker chip shipping system, where contributors will be able to easily request a Bellagio poker chip or custom All Vegas Poker chip. It’s gonna be huge.
Thank you.
Thank you for all for helping to make All Vegas Poker a respected and valuable resource. Best wishes, and Happy New Year!
