The Orleans poker room is famous for its daily tournaments, some of which are No Limit Texas Hold'em tournaments.
However, No Limit Hold'em cash games have become VERY popular in recent months in Las Vegas card rooms. At one point, only the Bellagio and Palms offered these games, but now almost every card room in town is spreading No Limit action.
Despite their popularity, the Orleans only very recently began spreading a No Limit cash game. The first time I saw it was last weekend, when a $100 minimum buy-in game was offered on three tables at once.
While speaking with some frequent poker players, I also learned that the Orleans recently began surveying its guests to find out if there is enough demand to offer the No Limit Holdem cash game seven days per week.
I'm surprised it has taken the Orleans, a leader in the Las Vegas poker room community, so long to start a No Limit game. My guess it that because so many locals play at the Orleans, the management wasn't sure if demand would exist for a No Limit game. It seems that in most Vegas card rooms, the No Limit cash game players tend to be tourists looking for a bit of WSOP type poker action.
