The El Cortez is Enlarging its Poker Room by 50%

Several years ago, before the explosion in poker popularity, the El Cortez had three poker tables. Then, because of a fire code issue, one of the poker tables was removed from the casino floor, and so only two poker tables remained.

Well El Cortez poker fans have a lot to look forward to next month because the word on the street is that the casino is moving the two existing poker tables away from the craps pit, and adding a third poker table.

However, don't worry about the El Cortez's record as the smallest poker room in Vegas. Even with a whopping three poker tables, the El Cortez still boasts the smallest poker room among any of the Strip or Downtown casinos.
