South Coast Casino and Red Rock Station Will Both Have Poker Rooms!
Two upcoming Las Vegas casinos, both of which are under construction at the moment, will open new poker rooms in early 2006.

Room: General News
Summary: Two upcoming Las Vegas casinos, both of which are under construction at the moment, will open new poker rooms in early 2006.
Content: South Coast Casino and Red Rock Station will be the newest additions to the Las Vegas casino market when they open their doors in early 2006.
South Coast is being built by Coast Casinos, which owns several Las Vegas properties including: Barbary Coast, Gold Coast, The Orleans and Suncoast. When Coast Casinos originally published details of its South Coast project there was no mention of a poker room. Given this renaissance period for poker that we are experiencing, I thought it was odd that South Coast would forego a poker room.
Plans have changed. The official South Coast website was recently updated and it now states that South Coast will include a poker room.
This is particularly good news, especially for people living in Southern areas of Las Vegas (like me). There is a shortage of quality poker rooms near this part of town, so I am looking forward to welcoming a veteran poker operator to the neighborhood.
South Coast isn’t the only upcoming casino bringing a new poker room to a Las Vegas neighborhood. Red Rock Station, being built by Station Casinos, is also expected to open in early 2006.
Red Rock Station will be located in Northwest Las Vegas, near Red Rock Mountain (as its moniker suggests). Red Rock Station is being branded as a Green Valley Ranch style resort, which is cool.
I like the Green Valley Ranch a lot. Unfortunately, the one thing I do NOT like about Green Valley Ranch is its poker room (you can read why here; yes I am a tough critic). I really hope, for the sake of the residents that live nearby, the upcoming Red Rock Station does a better job training its poker staff for opening night than Green Valley Ranch.
If you have any more information about either of these upcoming poker rooms, or news about any other poker room in Las Vegas, please send an e-mail to info@allvegaspoker.com. All sources are confidential.
