What can the poker comps at the Venetian be used for? I heard they can only be used on food ordered within the poker room. Is this true?

Venetian poker comps can currently be used for Poker Room Dining, In Suite Dining (Room service), Grand Lux Cafe, Noodle Asia, and the food court (located next to the Grand Hall). Eventually, the system will allow the food comps to be used at any casino rwstaurant, but that is in the future, not presently.

Just wondering what the rake at a $6-$12 limit game is? Is it 10% $4 max rake?

Good luck at your tournament!

Yes, the rake on all raked games is 10%/$4 max.

FYI, the rake on Venetian's 6-12 game is $1 at $10, 1 at $30, 1 at $60 and 1 at $90.

Finally got back to Venetian yesterday for the first time since opening week. What a difference there is! The 1/2 game was really good, but the news even better. I confirmed this with a floorperson; for the month of Sep. comps at all NL games wil lbe 4.50 an hour! I don't even know how I'll use all these comps, as I plan to join LVMichael in making this my semi-permanent poker home. Even with 4.50 comps, though, MGM NL games are just too good to pass up sometimes :D

Best room in town, period. Management is awesome. They comp so well, I get a meal everytime I play there. The thing I like is that they seem to treat the low limit player well too. I think a common misconception that poker rooms have is that if you are playing $4/8 now, you will be for the rest of your life. They don't realize that a $4/8 player may be building a bankroll to play in the higher games. I know that's my case, and I will remember the rooms I was treated well at and the ones that treated me like they would prefer not to have my business.

I've been in town for a week and looking for 8-16, 10-20, or 15-30 limit. On Friday, the 8-16 finally got going at 5pm. There were usually between 6 and 8 players at one time. The game stopped at 6:30pm.
On Saturday, by 5pm the game has not even started yet. There were 3 players signed up.
I went over to the Wynn, Friday and Saturday, where the 8-16 and 15-30 were going strong. I guess since the World Series is over, the Venetian is back to lower limits. I have been to the Venetian in Feb, May, June and September. Too bad I missed it in July and August.
On Saturday, as I am waiting for an 8-16 game to happen, I am watching a football game on Fox (FSN). A gentleman in a suit stands behind me and says to somebody with the remote to change the FSN because nobody is watching it. Ignorant? I'm not sure, but he was standing directly behind me! So, now there was the ESPN game on every tv on the same wall. He could have asked, and probably should have. You never know what will hit the internet!

well last Friday night at 10 pm (vegas time) ( October 27), the V ONLY had 4-8. In so far as limit there was not a SINGLE 8-16 game. one can only speculate that if it is offered , it will short handed and definately not full ring.

My limited posts show that I am very partial to the V.
Great room, and even better management!
Beyond my own first hand experience from a single trip It also speaks well of V management to have a participant in this forum.

But if the don't have ONE 8-16 game going at Peaktime on a Weekend night then they won't have one.
