I was playing a little 3-6-9 here this morning, and apparently there's going to be a pretty big shakeup in managment or number of dealers or something soon. All of the dealers were in a huff about it.

Hope not much changes; this is one of my favorites.

Interesting. It is one of my Dad's favorites as well. Wonder what is going on. Maybe Fiesta and GVR is hurting them too much.

Turns out they fired the manager....mostly due to a loss of business. Most of SS's players went to GVR & Fiesta when they opened their rooms.

Couple nights ago a bunch of dealers showed up and wanted to start a 3/6 mixed game, and the floor pretty much refused to do it, despite having an overage of bored dealers.

After LOTS of coaxing, they started it, and it ran for several hours.

It shouldn't require that much effort to get a game going when you have the players waiting to play. In cases like this, a lack of business is becoming more and more understood.

Looks like now the poker room is moving to where it "used to be". Smaller room/number of tables but more visibility were the reasons stated. The change will take place in 2-3 weeks.

It's too bad because this was one of my favorite rooms: not smokey, out of the way, and I didn't have to trudge through the entire casino to get there.

Quick update - the "move" has been cancelled, and they stopped breaking the rake up into .25 increments, so no more quarters. A bunch of the old rocks are pissed ("Now what do i do? I collect them!!" -- LOL!!!!) about it.

Hey old rock! Go get a roll of quarters if it means that much to you!!

I've only run into one "quarter collector" at Sunset, but I wouldn't be surprised to find a few more. He said he lived much closer to Boulder Station but had to stop playing there because they don't use quarters anymore. Whatever.

Some updates for the room:

- Rack of white for cracked aces now until the money runs out (they have about $13,000).

- New 7pm tourney, 84 buy in
- daily $35 tourney is now a daily $50 tourney

(I would have posted tourney updates on tourney page, but the form does not work for me)

Just a quick update - they killed the whole omaha idea, and are spreading 1/3 NL in the evenings/weekends. They have a high hand board, the cracked aces thing lasted 3 days (and is gone).
