O'Sheas had one of their TWO tables going. 1-5 spread limit holdem with a single blind of 1. Ten handed game. And, yes --- you are right on the street. Great fun. This is a "beginners" game and we were all making fun of the one "crusty local" trying to beat up on the drunken tourists.
Dealers and floorman had their hands full with the people who had NEVER played before, etc. Also ---we got to pick on the dealers and floorman (all from Flamingo) -- had they done something wrong to be sent over here?

Ok. Here's the skinny on Oshea's. Yeah, I got around tonight, lol.
Mostly running those crappy SnG tourneys. They have just 1 table near the front entrance and then they built a small room for 4 more games past the bar and cashier. The games are 1-5 spread limit holdem with a $30 max buy in (wtf??) and a 1/2 NL holdem with 50-200 buy in. Neither of which were running, just a SnG and mind you, the casino was absolutely jammed tight with people gambling.

i played here last summer when i was in Vegas. its mostly a drunk/fun/relax table. at the time i played it was a 1-5 spread holdem' game. it was late (3 or 4 in the morning) and I was on my way back to the Flamingo and O'Sheas is usually a late drunk crowd so i stopped in and played for an hour. they let me buy in for 100 so i guess the 30 max is new, but the players all sucked and i ended up winning 60 bucks. it was a lot of fun, everyone joking around, laughing, drinking, much like a party atmosphere.
love O'sheas 1-5 spread limit game. Did ok, broke even after about 20 hours of play over 4 days. Yeah not the greatest dealers but they didnt mess up. So close to the strip, the eye candy was unreal if you got the table closest to the flaming and sat to the dealers right. You get a clear shot out the door and a view of the intersection, major ass walking by.... great fun atmosphere, drinks I thought were always quick.
If you had told me several few months ago that I was going to play three poker sessions at O'Sheas during our June 2008 trip, I would have thought you were crazy! But it happened.
I played the 9pm tourney ($45 buy-in) on Tues and chopped four-ways for $260. On Wed, I doubled my $100 buy-in playing 1-2 NL. But on Thurs, I lost my $100 buy-in playing 1-5 Limit. Those $1 blinds are evil!
There are cash games in the front and tournaments in the back. O'Shea's is everything you imagined and more. The tournaments are actually well-run. Dan is the man! Also, your time on tourneys is tracked on your total rewards card. But you must remember to swipe out, cash games included.

I just wrote the same sentence in an email to my buddies.
Great times...no better place to donk off some blue chips and just play outright LAGgy stupid. Just wish they would allow more than one straddle, because a few times, I think we wouldve gotten almost the whole table.
