hey tatude, you catch any of the mtts while you were here? well im back at the 1-2/1-3 and back to pretty typical $/hr rates at the moment, just wanted to slow things down a little since im leaving in a few days. im gonna be playing a ton in florida though and will be blogging about it on here...some 1-2, alot of 2-5, and possibly some 5-10. when i get back ill have about 25 days to totally binge some more poker before i have any classes starting so ill switching to mostly 2-5 and also dabbling in the 20-40l as well. naturally ill attempt to photodocument as many scantily clad females as possibly on my trip so keep your eyes open for some goodies.

Looking forward to the photos. I only played on tourney while here the TBC one for a chop. Had a nasty m/c wreck a few days before I came down so wasn't feelin the best. Been playin MTT's near home that play like the Strat ones and have been doing well there.

I'll be back in Vegas 8/22 for a bit and will play Aria. I envy you going to Florida. Never been but next year I'm going for sure. This years been a bit chaotic. Good luck down there.

Still alive lol. I lost my phone at some point traveling fortunently I'm due for an upgrade. Borrowing someone's iPhone at the moment. The trip has been a mixed bag overall however quite succesful in regards to poker. The cash games have been very lucrative at the 2-5 level, I still haven't felt up for the 5-10 yet though it's been running pretty regularly. I changed my tix to extend my stay after winning a well structured big Sunday mtt for over 3k which was a sweet bonus as I haven't won in ages and it was the only mtt I caught out here as well as being completely unplanned. Will be back in Vegas in 3 days and I'm pretty motivated to jump back into things strong.

very disappointing first session back in LV. down -600 at 1-2nl, lost a large pot on river to a guy who legitimately thought he had a different hand before tripping bottom pair on river...later lost an even larger pot (~$900) after flopping nut flush with Ah3h on a Qh9h4h flop, i lead out 30, got raised to 90, i decided to flat and then lead out again weakish (50$) on a disconnected heart turn...guy raised to $150 and i came back over all in and a call...river was another 9 and i was facing ppQQ :(. did see a nastier beat that night though, kid had quad 5555 holding 55 on a Q55Q board and lost when case Q hit the river quading up the other guy. and i wanted to go on a little poker trip in oct...so back to work and gotta get things moving well to have that option.

wow been a long time since ive posted! still grinding the 1-2 1-3 and 2-5nl, ive been catching a decent number of 2-5 sessions at caesars and the venetian. the $ has been 'ok', though the numbers i was pulling during the wsop time make me wish i could find good omaha games here year round...i did play one of the caesars mtts i was talking about earlier and cashed. it was actually a very disappointing finish, however, as i had great momentum, a good stack, and an easy table...my lack of recent tournament play led to me sort of losing my composure later into it and taking an unnecessary (givin the competition) risk which led to my bust out. only real goals for the near future is to try and move entirely to the 2-5, as it stands im playing maybe 25-30% 2-5, im not entirely sure whats holding me back as ive had good success at 2-5, i guess its just a comfort zone thing and the typical lower games of the venues ive gotten so used to playing in, i am however making an effort as i mentioned to play more in the rooms have a 2-5 running more frequently.

still just grinding and school lol. been sticking to the 2-5 last few weeks, no insane heaters, no horrible cold streaks...just nice consistent poker/results...i would opt for this any day. one of these days ill hit a new mtt streak and post some results up on here, just find myself spread thin on time at the moment and im really trying to have a solid $ year for some planned future expenses. hope everyone is doing well at the tables, i got a new galaxy sg-1 phone so i can finally take decent pics. ill see if i cant snap something interesting tonight.

ya i need to, lots of good stuff, went and saw the Gin Blossoms at the Cannery tonight for some good old 90s nostalgia lol...kinda fallen out of routine with updating this blog with how busy ive been. same old grind on the poker front, turned 27 this week and feelin pretty old haha, i keep sayin im gonna get back in shape and eat better but i think i need to finally do that. sticking to the 2-5 nl when i can, ive made some adjustments to my style that have made for some better overall returns i feel. i wish i could relate some mtt crushes but ive just not been going for any, which sucks because when i stop and think about it i really miss playing more mtts and thats probably my favorite thing to do pokerwise. anyways ill see what i can do about updating on here more often, im also now considering some shots at 5-10 nl when/if i can find it available as ive now settled pretty comfortably into the 2-5.

I started messing with doing more to keep in shape thanks to Talon's blog. I started the 200 situps and 100 pushups that he said he was trying (they've got a website easy to find) and taking breaks to do some short walks during the day at work. Seems like the situps, which I started first and am 4 weeks into are really helping -- my belly isn't quite as round anymore. Might be a good start for you too, should be able to do some walking since the temps are better in LV and the other stuff you can do right at home. Trust me when I say it's easier to stay/get in shape at your age than when you get older like me. Good luck both with the fitness and at the tables.

Dave
