Last night was the worst night of cash game results in over a year for me. I took hits from a 1-outer, 2-outer, 4-outer, and 5-outer for about 2.5k over the course of the night. Each of those included getting all the money in on the turn. The night ended on a guy hitting a post-flop coin flip for all my stack. I got felted 6 times yesterday. It surely has put a huge dent in my focus and I woke up today still rattled.

There is a brewing story going on about Ron Paul's exclusion from the New Hampshire forum, which is to be held tomorrow. The forum will include Huckabee, Romney, McCain, Thompson, and Giuliani, but not Paul. Fox News is holding the forum and claims that to be invited, a candidate must be polling double digits nationwide. This completely ignore that the majority of Paul supporters do not own land-based phone lines (which is how polling is done) AND that Ron Paul just got 10% in Iowa AND that Paul is currently polling AHEAD of Giuliani and Thompson in New Hampshire. The New Hamphire Republican Party (who is sponsoring the forum) has threaten to withdraw their sponsorship if Fox does not include Paul (who has a strong following in the more free-minded state.)
Hey Yappy - I watched the SC GOP debate from start to finish last night and have to say that your boy Ron Paul dominated. He really hammered the other candidates on fiscal policy and foreign relations. Up to this point I hadn't heard much from Paul in the debates, as I only saw brief portions of them, but I had liked what I had read about him. Based on what I knew about the candidates before last night, I was a Romney supporter with Paul a close 2nd. After last night I would have to say that Paul now gets my support with Romney a strong 2nd. McCain and Huckabee are at the bottom of the list mostly due to their inability to give a straight answer to questions. I can't stand political rhetoric. If you want government to continue on the path that it has been going down for the last 10 - 15 years then McCain and Huckabee are for you. If you want someone who believes in changing government then it is Paul or Romney.

I like Wayne Allyn Root, and I like 99% of the libertarians in this country. I do support other candidates in elections, but if Ron Paul isn't the GOP nominee (or running as a third party candidate) then I'd vote for Root. It pretty much comes down to our constitution not being valid any more and beling blatently ignored by the gov't and many officers of the law. If a candidate wants to take away my liberties, I do not support him. Plain and simple.

That's cool. I like Root also. He has a good pitch. And I LOVE that he's a Vegas cat.
He's not as big of a hack as he may appear.
He's Columbia educated (same class as Obama coincidentally), and has been very successful over the years in the sports touting service. He's certainly the most famous (or infamous?) sports tout I know of.
He's done well for himself. At least well enough to rock a $1.7 million dollar crib in Anthem golf club (see picture here).
And from what I can tell, he's done it on his own (not family money), for which I greatly respect.

I am a diehard Libertarian. But i am very suspicious of Mr. Root. I do not see how a libertarian can support "School Prayer." Heck I don't see how a libertarian can support public schools period.

Root is a hustler. He's not very polished, and he sort of has that used car salesman air. But that's his shtick, and he makes it work.
I had a close friend in college and Root was one of his 'mentors' -- I think my friend may have eventually gone to work for him. I've never met Root, but the impression I got from my friend is that he's a good guy.
If you watch that interview on his homepage that I mentioned above you'll see that he's not really for public education (at least not without competition from the private sector).
