$200 min, no max. This info on all the rooms can be found in the Games and Limits chart link on the AVP main page.

This seems to be fairly petty to me, Caesar's is an enormous place, the room like most places is paired with the sports book, which is in the back of the casino, up against the hotel and pool. You can't expect them to put the parking garage somewhere else. If walking an extra 1200 feet bothers you, you are really looking for reasons to hate this room.

Agreed. I hate high hand/bad beat jackpots. However, the 2nd chance is not a seperate drop, it comes out of the high hand. IMO the softest cash players are tourney bustouts, so incenting those players to sit down at the cash tables is a better thing to do with the $1 drop than a HH or BB (and BB's rarely come on the NL tables where I am).

My first experience at Caesar's was over the recent Superbowl weekend, which of course drew huge numbers of outside players. I found the tables to be delightfully full of incoming dead, and deep pocketed money.

If the Venetian raises their 1/2 buyin to $500, it will continue to be my favorite, but I'll be playing both on my next trip.

It is not very often that I create a laundry list of reasons why I don't like a poker room. All rooms are outstanding in their own way. HOWEVER, in the case of CP, there are many reasons I don't like the room. Parking is just one of several. When I wrote the post, I was letting it all out. So yes, I was "looking" for reasons, but that does not make the reasons any less valid. That was the point of my post, to mention the thingg I like and dilike about the room. Some things are of heavier weight then others, but non are invalid.

Now, to respond to your response:

Wynn is enormous too. So is Venetian. Bellagio as well, last time I checked. Hell, even Excalibur is a bohemoth. Yet, all were smart enough to put the poker room near a major entrance/valet/ or parking garage.

Why? Not because of tourists who could care less and will be gone in three days. But because of "petty" nits like me and other richer ones that are their backbone (i.e. those that are there every day).

When you live here, and have several choices, you being to realize that the action is pretty much the same everywhere (high stakes being obvious exceptions). The game is the same, and largely, the people are the same. Little things like easy access parking, continuously accessible valet, short walks to the game, comfortable chairs, and general ambiance are often not even noticed by John Q Vegas Tourists, but are areas od concern for many Vegas locals that make up the foundation of every poker room in Las Vegas.

This is one area where Wynn has NAILED it, I hate to admit (as a Venetian fanboy). The biggest complaint that casinos have of poker rooms is the clientele they don't want in the main casino. Often a common complaint of poker players is long walks to the poker room. Wynn eliminated both issues by putting his poker room right by the parking garage, and down a hallway from the main casino, thus keeping poker player away from congegating in the casino all the while providing a quick and easy entrance and exit from parking.

The Wynn was designed with the poker room in mind, not so with Caesar's or most other rooms. So the location is understandably better. Poker players tend to be sports betters, so CP put the room next to the book, and the book is certainly too big to consider moving. As far as the Wynn went, the room being so cramped, in addition to the $3 chips in the 1/2 game (and I hated the feel of their chips, weird rubberized things) didn't make up for the hot waitresses.

To you as a local I can certainly see your point. Didn't mean for you to take umbrage, it just seemed a bit of a stretch about the room location. Was mostly just poking a little fun there.

I think more of a legit topic for discussion would be the high hand, I like it no more than you do in principle, but using a bit of it as fishbait is better than a bad beat.

As a nl player, I feel the same way about bad beats, as I imagine do higher limit players. Bad beats are nearly always going to come on the lowest buyin limit no fold-em table. As a nl player I'm funding something I'm not going to benefit from and would prefer to see it gone.

This is certainly a reason to favor Venetian, and if the bump up thier 1/2 buyin to $500, it'll be where I'll be at.

Venetian's bump is to a $300 max, not a $500.

$500 max on 1/2 is found at TI and Caesars. 2/5 has a $500 max at the Harrahs properties. 2/5 at Venetian is 1K max.

Typo, sorry. I'd meant if Ven. bumps their buyin up to $500, then I'd prefer to play 1/2 there. In other words, all things being equal, I do like the Venetian better. I prefer to play within my roll, and that doesn't allow me into the 2/5 games at this point.

By the way, great info here. We had read about Venetian's increasing the buyin, and our dealer didn't even know about it.

I also had a dealer at CP tell me this site is inaccurate, but wouldn't say why or what. I took it with a grain of salt, probably miffed at a bad trip report.

I was staying here March 14 and 15th and the game was 1/3 NL, not 1/2 NL. Same diffrence just wanted to let you guys know. As far as the room location get in the Centerioun(sp) tower, quick walk to the poker room.

Thanks for that. I updated the OP.

I actually knew that they made that switch, but I just forgot to update it (it was a couple months ago, I think).

TI runs an identically structured NL game, and I highly prefer it. Between the two, I simply do not like Caesars, and don't set foot in there.

The room was very nice I have to say that. It was also a profitable session as I was able to win $170+ in about an hours time. I was able to get into a game within 15 minutes. The table service was a bit slow. There was also some woman walking around offering a massage, im not sure if it was to be done at the table or what but thought it was something worth mentioning.

Overall I found the competition to be a lil tight, with aggresive postflop play.
