I miss the game by a night. Only bad thing about scheduling a trip from Monday to Sunday is I miss the IP mix game....

I played the mixed game this night, and it was the best night for mixed games that I've seen there. Several at our table wanted to play Razzdugi and Pokermufin let us add it.

I wish I could play this game every week.

I posted this on the 3-6 forum too, so apologies to the moderators if I'm cross-posting inappropriately. But I'm in Vegas this weekend and really looking forward to the mixed game Sunday night. Wanted to let folks know there's interest in case anyone else was thinking of playing. Hope to see some of you there on Sunday.

I'll stumble over there after I bust out of the Aria 7pm tourney (unless I get detoured to Bellagio or if Aria has a mix game going at 20/40 or below)

Had a room at IP the last few nights, went down yesterday morning to do some business in the racebook, and discovered the poker room and race/sports area have a festive new addition to their entertainment offerings: jackhammers. A lot of teeth-chattering jackhammering, somewhere very close that sounded like it was in the wall right there. You knew it would probably come to that at some point. After an hour and a half of trying to get enough volume on the Belmont Park racecall to drown it out I started to feel like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin ought to come bursting through the wall at any moment. It was every bit as helpful for business in the room and the book as you'd imagine, but they still did manage to have a couple of games going in the poker room by the time I left the book around 11-ish, with one each of LHE & NL.

At least there is no work going on in the evenings. We had three mix games go off again last Sunday. Two started right away at 7pm.

Well, personally I think I prefer the jackhammers over karaoke, and about half the hyper-amplified "dealertainer" acts downstairs for that matter.

The drilling in the wall kept up, but no one seemed to pay it any mind...

Since Ms. Muffin had occasion to accuse me in person of being a mean old Rock, ragging on her room by mentioning the matter of those tiny little itty-bitty jackhammers, I should mention that I was at the property again recently and played in the poker room for a bit late in the evening, and it was a pretty nice little limit table. Not only was the hammering in the wall over and done at the time, but there was not a single regular local type to be found; nuttin' but friendly loose-passive vacationing hotel guests at a full table with a short list to keep it that way. So there, Muffin gal.
