Completely agreed with Phil who posted above. The worst run poker room ever..
I had a situation there.. LOL. Me and another player are in a hand. I'm out of position. We do some betting pre. I flop top 2, and we do some betting again. The turn brings 3rd spade. So, I say as a small table talk "ha, did you hit your flush or smth?", he is like "sure". And at that point, I look at my stack and I'm ready to bet, while dealer (Lou) scrambles the board and awards pot to him!!! He starts shuffle for the next hand (it was a hand shuffle for some reason). I'm like, WTF just happened??? I still have my 2 cards, we did no action and hand isn't even over!!! So, floor comes (Tim), and tells me that "I HAVE TO PROTECT MY HAND AT ALL TIMES". I still had my cardz!!! How am i supposed to protect my hand from dealer killing the board and awarding THE WHOLE pot to some other player without any action??
At least they could've split the pot or smth. The worst ruling ever.
And it wasn't the only example of mistake and bad ruling that was made there. This one was just the biggest.
Some of these comments plus the most recent room review make these questions come up......In which other rooms have the AVP members often found a. collusion among regulars, and/or b. floor decisions almost always favoring regulars? Your answers are invited.

I guess I missed this post before, so its a late response .... but it hits on an important point that needs to be made.
You failed to protect your hand. Protecting your hand is more than just holding onto your cards or keeping a chip on top of them. It involves following the action, knowing what is going on .... and speaking up clearly and promptly when something goes awry.
So you ask how you were supposed to protect your hand from "dealer killing the board and awarding THE WHOLE pot to some other player without any action??"
Well lets look at what happened here.
On the turn the turn the dealer made a mistake. He thought the hand was over. And he did the things a dealer does at the end of the hand.
1. He Dropped the stub. 2. He pushed the pot to the player he thought was the winner. 3. He took in the hand from the other player. 4) He combined that hand with the muck, burn cards, stub and gathered them together and started to shuffle.
Now lets look at what you did.
1) You said "WTF"
now here is the problem. Its in the timing. Do you see how if you didn;t wait for the dealer to do all those steps and said "WTF" when the dealer dropped the stub.... all of this could have been avoided.
in a perfect world the dealer would never make a mistake. But its not a perfect world. So you need to protect your hand.... and speak up hen you see a mistake being made ..... so that it can be addressed before it goes further.

Shady, red rock is not the place to play if you want to make any money. Nothing but cranky, rock locals. If you can move near henderson you certainly wont regret it as I mentioned elsewhere.
Plus I've been reading some stuff on a lot of favoritism to the locals there. Not my kinda casino, much better strip action.
