Starting today, May 25th, I am going to blog about my play and the play at the Southpoint during the World Series of Poker. I will tell you what I am doing: events, cash or work. And any stories that I have heard regarding poker and the WSOP. I will try to be funny, informative and hopefully honest.
The first event I will be participating in is the employees event, event #1. It starts Sunday at noon. I just signed up this morning. I will be working Sunday morning so I will be very tired by the end of day one. Hopefully, I will be in the tournament long enough for lack of sleep to matter.
I am excited to be competing in a bracelet event after a 6 year hiatus. The last bracelet tourney I competed in was the '06 Main Event. It was very fullfilling to help make Jaime Gold rich.
Good Luck folks! I hope all AVPers make money during this WSOP!

Ok this WSOP has already started with a thud. When I signed up for event number 1, I left my drivers licence at the Rio and had to drive back. Doesn't boed well for my chances.

I am sure they have it set aside considering it was the only one where a guy was wearing a pink shirt.... But hey it is always good to get used to where the tournament will be played....
Good luck Perry. Looking forward to reading your blog. You may not remember me but many moons ago I worked at the Palms as the swing shift manager when they opened the "High Limit Side" aka the old keno room. I didn't realize you worked in the casinos. For some reason I thought you were in the real estate game. Maybe you use to hang with someone who was in real estate. Either way, best of luck this summer and hopefully I'll see you at a final table!

Good luck on the event.
Dear Clemintine,

This is going to be a great read. Those of you not wanting to watch the spectacle live on Sunday in person catch keep track of Perry's demise on WSOP.com. They have a new way to keep track of the players thru the tournaments so we will know right away if he changes tables, busts out (hopefully not), and get an accurate chip count during breaks.
