I was playing poker Sunday night (mother's day) at the Bellagio. I was in a lively 10-20 limit hold'em game. In the wee hours of Monday morning two situations arose that irked the crap out of me
First, when I got to the game, there was a drunk giving his money away as fast as he could. He was a little annoying. He asked to see hands and was cursing. This guy had about $1200 in front of him, down from $2000.
Finally, one jackass decides to put an end to his behavior and calls the floor. The floor makes the right call and removes the drunk. ( I am not mad at the floor.) The jackass that tattled on the "fish" went on for about 20 minutes about how he was right to get the guy removed and "he would not be treated like that!" Stupid f*%$ing baby!
So the game tightens up for about 30 minutes.
Second. Then fish number 2 comes to the table. This fish is a charming and drunk young lady from Australia who is on holiday for a month in the states. She proceeds to buy in for the minimum, lose that and another buy in. Then she stands up and asks where the ATM is. Another Jackass at the table chimes in: "You should probably call it a night. This really isn't your game. Besides you don't want to lose all your money this early in your trip." The young lady then says, "It is late. Nice playing with you all." And leaves.
I was very close to being barred from playing at the Bellagio for screaming at and possibly killing another player.
Both of these guys are idiots. You are in the game to make money. If a guy is dumping money, but he is rude, WHO CARES? If a girl is losing money, its not your job to stop her. She is an adult.
People. Please look at the big picture in these situations. Lets all try to make money and leave the other BS at the door. I'm not saying that there aren't situations where the floor needs to remove players. I've done it a hundred times. But if you are requesting that a player leave, make sure its not the one check-raising with nothing.
Thank you for letting me vent!
See you at the tables.

I understand your rant. I like to make money as much as the next person...but there's a certain thing that is valued more than money IMO, etiquette. Some people don't like playing with DB's at the table, regardless of how much $ they have in front of them...so some people rather have a good time and try to win. In the lines of the young Austraillian chic...I don't fault the guy for being a gentleman. The game has been called "A gentleman's game" once before, and some people are old school like that.
I generally don't like playing with dbags because they make the game not fun. They also potentially make things messy by doing random stuff and things against the rules, like folding faceup out of position.
I remember one 1/2 game where there was a raise preflop, a reraise, 3 bet, and 4 bet, by 4 diff people, and now the action is on the guy to my right. A drunk young guy (21 or 22) started ranting about how the guy to my right was taking too long, this game isn't difficult etc. and after ranting for 3min, folds his 9Ts out of position and leaves. This kind of stuff can nullify a bad beat jackpot, which was the situation that was potentially developing as the hand ended up with AKs v. AA v. KK, with the guy to my right folding his QQ.

I can relate to the rant, but also to the response to the rant. More often than not, I've been at tables where the out-of-hand annoying drunk is driving away or at the very least tightening up several nice casual recreational folks who were just out to have a little fun themselves. In that case, accommodating the off the wall guy is actually -EV for everyone even if he is a donator. When there's only him and I'm not in the mood for it and seem to be the only one at the table who isn't, I'll usually have no problem S(ing)TFU or maybe taking a little break to stretch my legs at the rail, while I arrange for a table change. But it depends. And if it is a 10/20 game, which is getting above the bulk of LHE that is most commonly played in most Las Vegas casinos these days, I'm more likely to be about the money and prepared to stick with it for the chips.

I could care less if he is donating and I have a chance at it then I don't care about etiquette. Shut your mouth let him spill his/her guts. Don't tap the glass.

There is a place and a time where you may want them off the table. For example if the drunk guy who was being a pain in the a$$ was causing issues and say you are only getting through 4-5 hands every 30 minutes and say you are playing 5-10 NL and having to pay time, then you may want to say something.
Generally with the drunks it is the perfect time to pull out the ipod and let the guy talk to himself, or the dealer.
What do people not understand if he is dropping buy in after buy in I don't care if we get 1 hand out a half if I have a easy shot at his money. If your that worried about 6 bucks for time then you can't afford the stakes your at

It gets annoying more than anything. I can afford that stake. I prefer to play hands and pots and the guy could be short stack in my example and if he is, he isn't worth the time because you should be able to find other soft spots as well.
I'm kind of on Sledgehammers side with this one. If he's dumping his money I am all for keeping the idiot at the table. If this is just further tilting everyone else then i REALLY want him to stay as they will all be dumping money into my pockets as long as I stay out of trouble!
