I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Brian Easterling, the founder of ThePokerAtlas.com, a site that is similar to AVP in what it provides as far as information, but covers all of North America.

Here is a link to the full interview: http://www.allvegaspoker.com/news_detail_553.html

Hope you enjoy it. Good luck!

Poker Atlas is a very useful website if you are traveling on business and want to play poker once you are done with work. IT was a great idea and like I said it is etremely useful in identifying poker rooms in your area while traveling.

Under a different screen name I used to contribute room reviews, usually in the Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri region. I liked the Poker Atlas in concept but it just wasn't thorough enough to be useful the majority of the time, therefore I haven't visited it since last summer. Hopefully the partnership will enable it take off. One thing I did like was when rooms actually posted their tournament schedules, whether they were regular or special events....it just didn't happen in a consistent fashion. Good luck!!

I think you all will love the new Atlas site when we re-launch it. We have been spending a LOT of time and effort on it. It's a great idea and a great site, but it takes a lot of resources to really maximize the utility of a site like that. I think Brian and Leigh did an amazing job creating what it is today (hence why we acquired the site!), and am enjoying working with them (and several others) to make it even better.

If you aren't familiar with it, check out http://www.thepokeratlas.com/. Very useful info for poker tournament schedules!
