The Southpoint is currently running our $125,000 freeroll. To qualify, play 125 hours between April 1st and June 30th. First prize is $30,000.

Ive never played at south point. How many tables are typically going between 7pm and 3 am? And what limits are usually spread?

Brandon,

It depends on the day of the week. But we will have anywhere from 8 to 12 games at our peak on swing shift, 7pm to 3am. The games that run are 1-2 nl, 2-4 limit, 2-6 spread limit and 4-8 Omaha Hi. All games are eligable for the freeroll. Although these are the main 4 games we spread, we are open to spreading other levels and games, 2-5nl, mixed games, 4-8 limit hold'em, PLO, etc, if there is enough interest.

While the Omaha hi is not eligable for the bad beat, it does have some advantages over other Omaha Hi's in town. Our rake on Omaha is 3-1 as opposed to 4-1 in other houses. Also, we have Omaha high hands, Straight Flushes and Royals.

If you would like to play, call the room to put your name on the list. You can call up to 1 hour in advance of arriving. The direct line is 797-8073.

CU in the Poker Room.

Perry

To the absolute best of my knowledge I will say no. I am 99.9% sure that no freeroll has been cancelled since I started working here in May of last year.

Sometimes the time or day has been moved, but never (to the best of my memory) has the freeroll been cancelled due to lack of players. Time and date changes have occasionally happened due to casino special events and holidays. These time and date changes have always been announced with plenty of notice.

E.g Last week we started the freeroll at 3pm due to a charity tournament we were holding in the evening and this was announced and posted in the room, one month prior to the change.

Riv pokeroom...How many players did you have this past Sunday for your freeroll??

I'd like to go around or get the structure sheets for all these free rolls. I spent 20 hours in a Tunica casino getting my entry into a freeroll. The thing basically started you with 20 BB and the structure was very aggressive with no antes.

I'd rather spend 40 hours grinding into a decent freeroll with good structure then a 20 hour hyper turbo. Oh man. Starting to sound like Chainsaw.

I'm a bit the opposite. Freerolls are an annoyance that I want done and over as quickly as possible so I can return to what I really want to play. If I want to play a good tournament with a lengthy structure, I'll take money outta my pocket and buy into one. I particularly dislike weekly freerolls because they consume impossibly too much of my weekly poker time budget--If I'm going to play 15 hours a week, I don't want 5 of those hours to be playing a freeroll I spent the first 10 hours earning the entry to.

Qualify for the Freeroll on May 27th and then all of Junes Freerolls and you could have enough comp dollars to buy into out July 9th $10,000 GTD tournament !!

Yes that's right, we are accepting comp dollars as buy in for our $100+20 $10,000 GTD event !!

Our freeroll takes place every Sunday at 4PM. 15 hours of play gets you a 5000 starting stack and 25 hours of play doubles that. We run double hours daily 11am-1pm, 3-5pm, 7-9pm and 11pm-1am.

Thanks for the head's up about the Riviera. What's the typical payout structure of the freerolls? I arrive in Vegas Wednesday.
