Giving chips for playing in cash games?

If I showed up, paid the same amount to enter a tournament as someone else, and they got more chips I'd be less than happy about it.

I'd also assume the structures are too fast to warrant a $10 staff add-on. Not to mention to buyins are much lower than the other tournaments that charge a $10 staff add-on.

Won't be playing at the Trop due to the cash player bonus.

The Trop is dead to me. HUGE promo rake that basically pays for the props, and now tourneys where people don't all start with the same stacks. Insane. Way to tell the tourist trade "we're here to screw you". Also a great way to keep any Vegas local from wandering in for a casual visit some evening just to scope the place out. Might as well put up a flashing neon sign that says "If you are not a daily regular, we are only out to fleece you".

I played here a bit before they started that $3 Jackpot drop. Then quit when it started. I don't put much thought into it, I just move on down the road. Plenty of rooms to choose from.
