I've been to a few HPT events over the past year, they're a great bunch of people who put on a great TV show. Wish I could be in Vegas to be a part of it, but hopefully the AVP community will support the tournament.

I played the HPT event at Downstream in Miami OK before I moved Out Here, lots of action players, pretty solid satty and cash game action as well. They usually were out at red rock, but since they're in my back yard I'll probably stop in

Sad scene for this event. I went to check it out in this afternoon and wanted to play one of the single table satellites only to find a ballroom full of tables but not one player. I was told the 12:00 $360 main event qualifier had 5 players, (one of which won a seat).

I remember playing this event last year at Red Rock and there was a strong turn out for the SNGs and quailfiers. So my question is, why? Is this a direct reflection of the Epic Poker League's reorganizational bankrupcy and their ownership of HPT?

I think the biggest challenge yesterday and today is the Easter Holiday. Easter in general is a difficult holiday for the casino unless you are food and beverage. We have many guests scheduled to arrive tomorrow specifically for HPT so I imagine attendance will greatly improve once all the Easter Eggs are found :)
