Iona +2. BYU ism't battle tested and Iona is. Iona advances and puts to rest those who say they shouldn't be in the dance.

Iona crushing BYU in the second half... Hope everyone took my advice. I am glad with the pick I made.... Yappy, Sante FE this is how you make a basketball pick....

LOL this has to go into a post HOF. Where's Yappy when we need him.

Clem what do you mean not battled tested for BYU? They played Ruff Buff.

Better learn the concept of middling with second half bets nit if you are going to be in Vegas during march madness.

Don't worry about me I'm a featherweight at the books. I'm not going to put myself in a spot that I need to middle any bets. That being said I'm still confused why someone would need to middle an ATS bet that they are +17 on after the first half.

Clem how'd that Iona pick work out for ya :P

I lost the vig because it was the perfect spot to go for the middle meaning betting on by in the second half and hoping to hit both bets. i lose the vig.

I find it hilarious that you mentioned this several times since yesterday, Iona + 2, but only mention trying to middle it in the last seconds of defeat. Why not post your second half bet during the early parts of the first half?

That's funny. I posted the pick yesterday. Didn't say anything until halftime. So I post 2 comments. Didn't know 2 was several. Wasn't online during the game. And work with assumption that I am always middling my bets when I have that big of a middle. If you are not doing that you are losing value. Pretty simple concept.

Because strange sh!t happens. A few weeks ago- I had North Carolina against Duke. The TarHeels blew them out in the first half. I decide to go for the middle. I had a 20 point window and I got it by a half a point as Duke outscored them by just enough in the second. In an NBA game recently same thing and it didn't happen. Iona/BYU- didn't happen. You hit some, you lose the vig on some. I think it is the positive value play.

nittastic- I'm disappointed you didn't do the math. I hit one (Duke/North Carolina) and I lost he vig on 2 (BYU/IONA and the NBA game). @ $110 to win $100. My profit is $160 correct.
If I don't make the half time bet- I win two bets ($100x2) and I lose the BYU/Iona bet (-$110)- Profit is $90. Simple math... sort of like adding the resort fee.... :)

I guess I've never been in a spot where I was concerned if "strange sh!t happens". I'll be out of town of town until the final four. With the final four not being in Houston this year it looks like I won't be in a private booth live for the final four. If your're in town for the Final Four shoot me a PM, I wouldn't mind meeting up at a bar around town to watch one of the games. First round is on me, you've been entertaining me for years.

Not a lock, but a pretty strong play...

Take the underdogs to cover across the board EXCEPT for the 16 seeds. I haven't looked at lines and would still make this play. The public and Vegas greatly overestimate the gap between a 5 and 12 (for example) which is 4-5 points.

I agree with you on taking the dogs, however not sure if I agree with the automatic exception on the 16 seeds. I'm guessing UNC Ashville just covered.

Serious fading material post below:

Cincy -2 over Texas, not even sure how UT got in and I actually think Cincy is hot and coming from the Big East should go somewhat far

Ohio +5.5 Over SDSU, serious fade material I'm only taking it because it's the MAC winner

Detroit +14.5 over Kansas, I think Detroit will supris some people

LIU +20 vs. Mich St., love LIU and all those points, as a + it's a DOCS free pick, I'm over 70% on taking those picks personally

Lehigh + 12 over Duke, don't think Duke is a solid #2 seed and I think Lehigh keeps around 6 points

Under 129.5 Memphis vs. Saint Louis, DOCS free pick

And who had UNC Ashville as one of his top plays..... Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.....
