Hello AVP,
What was once lost is now found.
Too honor the merger between between the two Vegas Poker Sites, I am relocating here, to All Vegas Poker Now - or whatever
I have been here before and it appears as though now I am back. Not as much of a coincidence, almost the entire time I was gone I ran worse than any poker player should legally be allowed to. So, in that regards I think VPN might have been a curse!!
However, I am back, I am trying to play some poker here and there (and have a challenge with TBC going on) and I am inching closer and closer to being debt free (and I do mean inching, because I accidentally bought a house and added another 100k to my debts).
I'm going to reserve the first few posts in this thread so that I can update my different life challenges over the course of the next decade or so.
I will be updating that as I go along and when I have new posts and info I'll post the info there and then summarize it all in this thread.
Where Tony and I stand now. We have played 3 different days
Current Results 18 Hours 58 Minutes Tony ($246) (Removed $43 in loses from massage money taken from table and $100 high hand bonus) grrouchie $428 (All Poker) 3+ buy-ins is the biggest lead thus far!

A big part of my life is trying to get out of debt. In the past 1.5 years I have paid off well over $20k worth of debt and still have some progress to make.
My car is down to $1500 left and I fully expect to make the last payment in August after my buddy leaves from his Vacation.
I have A school Loan that is near/at the $4000 mark and I have a credit card that should have just dipped below $4000 as well.
Other than my house that is all I have. I fully expect it all to be gone by the end of July next year and then I will claim debt free (other than the house)!
I am excited and focused and along with poker being a 2nd source of income for me should be able to exceed my goal of July 2012!
July 2011 July 3rd - Dental Bill - Owed: $2500 - Paid $100 July 10th - School Loan - Owed: 4000 - Paid $100 July 14th - Car Loan - Owed: 1500 - Paid $250

BANKROLL!!!!!!
Maybe I'll get a fancy graphic to insert there, yeah, that's the ticket.
June 1st: $200 July 1st: $600 July 3rd: ~$1500
Listen, I know it's not much but such is the life. I spent my bankroll paying a bill off and as such rarely play. I took a buy-in out at the beginning of June and have been playing a bit ever since.
Goal: Surpass TBC by end of 2011 (He fluctuates so much that I got a chance)
Poker Rooms and Win Rates (since July 1st 2011) Bally's - 23h - $1550 Osheas - 4h - $169 Aliante Station - 4h - ($400) Riviera - 2h - ($500)

You are going about things in the right way. Ive seen alot of people come out to Vegas and try to make poker their only source of income. It's a rough road trying to do it that way. Having a full time income and playing part time is a less stressful way to go and you won't get to the point that you hate the game. You live in an ideal place to be able to do that.

thanks for the kind words. Fact of the matter is that I know I'm not good enough right now to play for a living, but I am good enough to play part time for extra money. I love the game and the way my life has changed because of it, now if I could just get the woman to not mind so much when I head out to play haha.
I could see in the future balancing it out more, putting more hours into poker and a little less at work - but that isn't until after the debt is gone and I have a hefty cushion in the bank. I would always have to keep working no matter what because of health insurance reasons. Asthma is not a cheap disease to have (though not nearly as expensive as others)
Appreciate you checking in and hope I can provide some sort of entertainment for you to continue to do so.

Thanks for bringing your blog over here, Grrouchie.
We are not 100% sure if we will be bringing wordpress blogs to the AVP Main Site or not. It is definately something to consider for Phase II of the release though.
Until then, I'm really happy you've created a thread blog here, and I look forward to reading your adventures.

If Wordpress shows up that would be cool. I think it could only help and enhance the site and I thought it was a great feature from VPN.
However, if it doesn't I'll still keep my "blog" elsewhere and just cross post it here.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
Hopefully I'll have more content to share this time than last time.

Hey man,
Not able to have a fun late night session because the wife is off this evening and she thinks that I should spend quality time with her - whatever that means.
I just hit up the Aliante for a quick session until she got out and probably should have stayed at home instead and played Video Games!
I am hitting the Casino's tomorrow (Sunday) so when I'm out and about I'll post updates of where I end up and if I'm doing a session or two with TBC.
Most likely posting locations and such on my Twitter (grrouchie) but I'll try to remember to post brief update here as well when i'm heading in directions.
Don't know if I've ever run into you so look forward to meeting ya!
