I had a blast last night! That was a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who attended, and thanks to LVM and AG for making it happen! Glad everyone enjoyed it! Be on the lookout for the new AVP site. This launch can't come soon enough lol. See you all at the next event, if not sooner.

I regreted not playing in the tourney. We moved down to Aria that night and found the list 20 players deep (both the $1/$3 & $2/$5) and every table was being used. We ended up walking all the back up the strip to play. Had I known, I certainly would have played the tourney!
It was great to see Mike and meet Jon! It was also great to play with Cashewz and Santa Fe during a cash game. Always great to put a face with the screen names.
I even got to shake hands with the great "Poker Grump". Hopefully, I didn't put him in a bad mood as I may have interrupted his "pre-tourney mental warm-up". At least it wasn't bad enough to have him post about it........
Glad to see you guys had a great event!
Sincerely, E

I won a splash pot when my KJcc flopped an open-ended straight and rivered the nuts; Broadway. Got paid handsomely in chips as well.
Had a great time, it was great to see old faces and new alike. Busted when I ran A2 into AA in an instance of blind-on-blind violence when I was the short stack at the table. Good game, all!
Card dead - only made a couple pair throughout the tourney. But had a great time as usual. And it was good to see the Sacramento area representing 10% of the participants (loosely counting Lodi as Sacramento-ish). Thanks for putting the event together, and see you next time.
As usual I had a great time. This was my highest finish in an AVP tournament, I think because I was kind of trying to leave. I forgot to sleep on Saturday (woke up at 6pm Friday and played through the tournament). Felt fine until the tournament started. Poor planning on my part.
While I didn't place, I did make a $25 + 20 food profit by getting my money in bad against Jon Freidberg and AlaskaGal. Against Jon I called his AI with 55 and took out his JJ. Against AlaskaGal I called her AI on the flop with AcAd on a ccc board and sucked out on her Jc6c. I'm definitely not proud of those plays, I know I was the luckbox donkey.
After mercifully busting out, I decided to use the food comp at Carnegie Deli. Had a nice omelet and a show. Two guys (one brown haired, the other blonde) came in while I was eating, one supporting the other. They get seated, and brown keeps yelling at blonde to stay awake, but blonde keeps passing out. Brown's yelling has attracted some attention. A girl a couple of tables away decides she will help keep blonde awake. She tries talking to him. When that didn't work she just shoves his face into her chest and does the motorboating for him Only in vegas. I love this town. This actually did not wake him up. My professional opinion is that if a girl shoving your face into her cleavage does not wake you up a bit, you need to go to the hospital now.
Thanks to Jon, LVM, and AlaskaGal for organizing everything, and to Chris for hosting us. Mirage has a nice room, and it's not too far from my normal luxurious digs at IP.
I'll be back in 16 days for a long July 4 weekend.
had a great time! i was on little sleep myself, was drinking with jeff and stephen at table 1 and was probably a bit obnoxcious at times Jon is a very nice, professional that shoul take AVP to some new highs
got my bust out with JJ against 2 others on table 2 i think, one with KK and the other with AK....flop a K....not meant to be for me this trip for AVP, I was bubble boy during the November meet....I did win $25splash pot though which was nice
I did cash in two Rio daily 2p deepstacks (27th and 20th) and won about 6k playing 5/10NL at Rio and (2) 2/5nl sessions at Venetian, so it was a good vacation where I made money being away from work
nice to see many of you again and meeting some new folks too!
