Thanks for coming down yesterday for our first day (sorry about the crubs on the river psand ). We had three games until early evening. Seemed a decent mix of tourists and locals to me. The room looks great - Wally did a good job getting things put together. Come check it out tonight

Thank you. I figured it was about time I participated a bit instead of just reading all the time
Our second night went off even better than the first night - a good sign. We held 4 strong games nearly all night. It helped that a group of dealers came in and wanted to play a little $2/4 Omaha with a kill. Otherwise, we only would have gotten the three games. Still, when I left at 1am, there were both a $2/4 game and a $1-3 game going, both full, with 4 names on the list of the NL game.
I think we have a room with a lot of potential. We're in a very visible location with a lot of foot traffic passing by. We snagged quite a few players who were on their way out of the casino and talked them into playing tonight. As long as Wally gets the word out about the room, I think we'll be OK.

--S. I did not know that was you. I always wondered who you were .... you did not look at all like the image I had. Probably should have put it together when you mentioned Murph.

keep that room growin! i'm booked in for a 5 nite stay may 21st @ the Trop! saw some more pics on another site, the place looks great, I like the dedicated room although for a nite of drunk 2-4 the eye candy that strolls through the casino floor might be missed

psand - same here. I always thought I might know who you were but was never sure until I read your post above. Since I knew the one and ten seats already, I figured out you had to have been the five seat. Nice to finally put a face to the name.
loftypines - you might get your wish. First, the Nikki Beach club opens late May. I don't know the exact dates but hopefully it will be around the time of your stay. Also, across the way from the poker room is currently a video poker bar. By end of summer (again, sorry I don't know exact dates), behind that is going to be entrances to the Nikki Beach club and a new Roadhouse saloon/restaurant joint that's going in. We might get that eye candy watching opportunity yet
Also, the north side of the building (facing Tropicana Avenue) is getting a porte cochere, a 2nd grand entrance if you will, that could potentially drive more foot traffic past the room.
