actually that means that I am not going to be able to make the AVP tournament. :( I have a few errands that I need to take care of and Saturday is the only time I will be able to get them done. I would be dead money anyway so I am saving myself $120. I let LVM know that I wouldn't be there, but I hope you guys all have a good time.

Yo HardRocker,

Fair warning that I return a week from today from my summer alternate universe home of Canada.

So, I haven't seen any posts on what changes, if any, there are with the promo's, it being a new quarter and all. As I was leaving, the poker room had started doing freerolls instead of drawings (and, of course, I was the bubble boy in the first, and only, one that I was around for). What's going on?

Does anyone know how the Tuesday bounty tourney has been going? is it worth my time or should I do something else. I am staying at the HR next month.

For the record love the Hard Rock but last few trips tourneys were not doing well. I was there in May and several times they cancelled. I went to Ceasers and had a good time at the 10pm. I will be at HR in August for a week and will try to report on conditions then. Hopefully May was bad because of WSOP.

is the 4 for 40 promo still going on? visiting Vegas for the first time in August and this looks like a good promo, is it a drawing to win $40 or $60 or do you actually get the cash? how does it work?

Still going on. You must play at least 4 hours between midnite and 8am. If you do, you will get a $40 ticket put into the drawing draw with your name on it. With each additional hour played, you get one $60 ticket put into the drum. The catch is, if everyone shows for the drawings, there is only so much money allotted and none of your tickets may be pulled. That's only happened to me twice in 40 nights however. The drawing is at 11pm the following nite. You can only win the amount of the first ticket pulled with your name on it. If you win, you are paid in cash following the drawing.

You seem to have similar thoughts about playing $1-$2 in Vegas as I do (I'm local and play 6 days/nights a week). It is worth it if you can position your sleeping right. I also donate my time to my church MWThFSu and so I really only play the "5 for $50" (my name for the promo because if you play 5 hours you are just as likely to get $60 as $40, unless of course the ball lands on green) on Friday nights (Sat mornings) and Sunday nights (Mon mornings) when I can orient my sleeping for it. The other nights (except for "date night" with the wife) I also play at Harrah's properties.

BTW, you can piggyback another Hard Rock promo on the $5 for $50, that is the free breakfast at 6am. if you play 4 or more hours by 6am they buy you anything that you want for breakfast. it takes about 1 hour to get it to the poker room and eat. for instance my strategy for tonight is to sleep until 1:30am, make the room by 2am, eat breakfast, and leave the room sometime after 7am for my 5 hours.

Three For $30
7/26/2010
RULES

1. Any player with a player’s card that plays three hours of cash game poker between 8am and 2pm is eligible to receive one grey raffle ticket to enter a drawing the next day at 3pm.

2. Any player with a player’s card that plays MORE than four hours of cash game poker between 8am and 2pm is eligible to receive one blue raffle ticket to enter a drawing the next day at 3pm. These players will receive one blue ticket for each hour over three, with a maximum of three extra tickets. Example: a player that plays for six hours will receive one red raffle ticket plus three blue raffle tickets.

3. When the total number of qualifying players is determined, a total payout jackpot will be calculated by multiplying the number of qualifiers by $30. Example: Twenty-four (24) players qualify=$720 in the total prize pool.

4. At 3pm, raffle tickets will be randomly drawn. If a grey ticket is drawn, that player will receive $30, and that amount will be subtracted from the prize pool. If a blue ticket is drawn, that player will receive $50, and that amount will be subtracted from the prize pool. This will continue until the prize pool is depleted, or no more qualified players are present.

5. Ticket backs must be filled out with player information or they will be considered null and void.

6. Players must be present to win and are only eligible to win one time per night under this promotion.

7. Tournament play is excluded.

8. The Bravo player tracking system will be used to verify player’s eligibility.

9. Player eligibility must be verified by shift manager.

10. A minimum of $2 rake must be collected per hand dealt for players to claim this promotion (management discretion).

11. Players will be responsible for making sure their player’s card is logged in at the table they are playing at.

12. Management reserves the right to change, cancel or modify the promotion without notice.

13. IRS regulations require a valid ID and social security number or W-9.

14. Non-resident alien are subject to 30% withholding on 100% of all jackpot amounts.

15. Management has the right to conclude that players are colluding to avoid the rake and jackpot drop. If management deems players are colluding he/she can nullify a players eligibility for the promotion.
