They're Launching ESPN's 3D channel with the world cup, I am going to try and catch a game somewhere just to say I've seen it, not sure if it will add anything extra, but hey atleast I can say I saw it

I am tossing around the idea of buying a 3D TV, but I just dont see how the trend will fly. The ultimate problem is you have to purchase glasses at $100 - $250 a pair, and what are your friends gonna do when they come over. In additon you have to purchase a 3D blueray player, blueray in itself I feel has not been fully embraced (in Canada at least). I think they have developed glasses free 3D now, I could be wrong.

I have a 60 inch think...maybe 65?) LG 3D TV. The 3D is nice but we don't use it that often. It did come with several pairs of 3D glasses. I also believe the 3D glasses you get at the movie theaters work as well so we bring those back home with us. We watched Hugo in 3D with my 80 year old in-laws the other night. They sure enjoyed the technology.
