So, I rarely play online. Yesterday I was jonesing for a game and logged onto Lock and attempted to deposit $200 with my debit card. It was declined (presumably blocked by bank, not lack of funds) and I took it as a sign to go do something else and went and ran errands.
Fast forward to this morning, I wake up and log onto my online banking to pay some bills when I notice the $200 I attempted to deposit was in fact debited from my account. WTF? I logged back onto Lock and checked my account balance and it stands at $0.00. So Lock took my money and never credited my account.
At this point I google searched this issue and on 2+2 it turns out many other players have experienced the same issue, some getting their money back and some still waiting long after the fact. These players are saying that Lock support is unresponsive after multiple emails, and are basically being left in the dark.
Take whatever you will from this, as for me, F-you online poker!
I agree that online poker has too many negatives about it for me to be sending them my money. Those who say that online will be legal soon nationwide are not looking at all the agruments (and biases) against it. About your missing $200....could it be stuck in techno space because third party middlemen are involved in the transfer?

It's more than likely a "pending transaction" on your banks side and the funds will be released in a few days...but yet again another reason I prefer live poker....

meekamouse, if u followed vooks blog, my blog, and grumps blog u would know where u can safely deposit and play online.
Not so fast Tony, if you followed Vook's blog, you would know that he was affected by Black Friday just like a lot of other people did. A sizable portion of his BR is still locked up because of Full Tilt. No one can predict or guarantee the safety of any particular site, we simply don't have the information. If you really know where you can safely deposit and play online, then why do you panic and sell your online money for 80cents to the dollar everytime you got a few hundred dollars online, only to bust out and have to redeposit a few days/weeks later?

So, I got my $200 credited to my account. They said my deposit was "erroniously denied". Still, if I hadn't caught the error myself, Id be $200 lighter in the wallet none the wiser. What is with these online poker companies?
What? I refuse to believe anything nefarious could happen with online poker. Other than Absolute Poker, Ultimate Bet, and Full Tilt Poker, you have zero evidence that could convince me that online poker is anything but clean and above board. Plus, I'll be getting my $22 back from Full Tilt any day now. I've been watching my mailbox.

Due to the Pokerstars/DOJ settlement agreement you just might have pizza money before you know it!
