...where by "stuff" I mean the sort of behavior that tends to be the starting point for floor decision threads like players failing to protect their hands.
I was playing at Bally's last week close to the sign-up podium dea #1: BIGGER SIGN GUYS) when I noticed an amazing thing. Players waiting to be seated would amble around with the podium as a sort of focus (almost in the Kepler's Law sense) and they would pick up the shiny leaflets describing the tourney structures and the bad beat jackpot and the progressive royals. And because the wait was longish for Bally's (15 mins) they would, it appeared, read every last sentence on the leaflets. Possibly twice!
Now of course they were doing this not because the Bally's tournament structure is a literary masterpiece, but because they had nothing else to do and so I thought...
Why not have leaflets with titles such as "Poker Room Rules" and "Poker Etiquette 101" provided in easy-to-see locations? Waiting players might actually use their time to absorb information that improved their enjoyment of the game and kept it moving and more fun for everyone else.

I'm not sure niceties will get through to enough people. You need signs like this:

I think that maybe the people in need of an etiquette guide, are not the kind of people willing to read and implement the ideas laid out in such a guide.
If you need to be told and or reminded that basic social etiquette should not be left at the poker room entrance I'm not sure an Etiquette guide can help you.
The poker room rules is a more interesting idea. There is a school of thought that it would help educate players and another that says it is a charter for angle shooters and ne'er do wells.
At the Riviera we do have at the front podium a 'general house rules' listing. This covers many of the rules and etiquette guidelines for our players, how many people read it, I'm not sure.

Yeah this is the Priest's Paradox. By telling the congregation that a certain act is a sin you run the risk of unveiling something they hadn't previously considered doing.

No, those people require a swift kick in the nuts or a similar "reminder"

For some, that's an awfully small target.....
