So following my best session "ever", my buddy gives me a call and says he's taking the in-laws up to play slots on Sunday and asks if I'd like to go. I accept and for the third week in a row am in the local poker room. The poker gods were obviously angry with my for gloating about my previous session because I had one of those days where nothing worked -- not many good cards, whiffing on flops my opponents hit when I was the preflop aggressor, getting outkicked, etc.
That said, I know I had a few spots where I reverted to my bad habits and got too tight and too passive. But, I also recognized when I was doing that much more quickly than in the past and got back to playing better more quickly. Also, I stayed patient and mostly played pretty decent so I lost a lot less than I would have even just a couple months ago. So a few good things. But, still it was an ugly day.
