Good stuff! I play 4-5 times a year in local casinos over the last 6-7 years and I know who the regulars and good players are. Regs doesn't always equal good by the way...as you already know. I play about 50-50 1/2 vs 2/5 and it all depends on the lineup of the games. I have a 9-5 job, but keep a separate bankroll for poker to pay for luxuries for family.
In my area, Louisville/Cincy...2/5 is about as big a game as you can find without a tournament series going on. PLO games can get crazy action at times, but I'm a fish out of water in those games.
I guess I'll get to my point and state that game selection is most important when taking your "Shots". I've played 5/10 a few times, but all at times when I knew the game was good for me. I was willing to lose $2k in those "shots" and not worry about my results.
I'm enjoying your articles. Being one of those "casual" players I am always interested with how the regulars and/or fulltime players handle their cash flow. It's also a good gauge for me to have reality settle in and realise that my game is fed from a 9 to 5 job. Thanks again and keep them coming.

Thanks! I hoping I wasn't gonna find an "fwiw I disagree with this article" comment, LOL. All joking aside, I'm happy to read differing view point. It's the best way for us as a community to learn together when we have healthy debates.
