They have start the Friday happy hour promo at South Point again. $1 drinks at the casino bar...I will try to swing bye on most fridays, and I doubt there will ever be enough people to officially schedule anything. I start my new job this week and will be working until around 5pm, so I will do my best to make it to the Del Mar Lounge for a few drinks and some conversation some time around 6pm...Feel free to post here if you plan on attending a day and we can meet up for a cold one.
This is not an official AVP sanctioned event but it can be a great time to chat it up and drink a few cold ones

I'll be arriving in Las Vegas next Thursday, 08/20. I'm all for an unofficial happy hour gathering on Friday 08/21. At $1 a drink, the first two rounds will be on me.
By the way, you might want to change the title of this post, since we're a few years away from Friday 8/10

I'll be there! I should be rolling into Vegas around 4, checking in at NYNY, then heading down to South Point.
What's the best way to get there from NYNY? Should I just travel south on the strip, or should I get on I-15 at Tropicana and get off at Silverado Ranch? Will it make much of a difference either way?

IF you go down the strip there might be some traffic infront of the Ex and Mandalay, and you have several lights to get through...There might be some traffic in 15 S, but there are a lot less stop lights, the strip might take a bit longer, but if you haven't seen the Welcome to vegas sign, and a few of the other sights on the south strip, I'd recommend doing it on the way to South Point and then take 15 back north because the strip will more than likely bumper to bumper tonight.
As for tonight I should get there by 6, there is a good chance I will be there early, I am going straight from work, so look for the bigger guy in a shirt and tie, I'll be in the Del Mar Lounge, come say hey
