Same here. Garth said he wanted prices to be reasonable. Yet $253 a ticket is not reasonable. I once was a Garth fan. Now I am not. Hell I live 1 block behind the Wynn and will not go see his over priced arse

Well you would be missing out twice. It was the best show I have ever seen.
Diff'rent strokes, right?
Never been a fan of country music. Probably due to my mom playing it incessantly when I was growing up, so likely developed an aversion there. But I also know talent and popularity when I see it (there's just a loose correlation between the two), and I have a huge amount of respect for the man who stepped away from the spotlight (and the money) when he was at or near the height of his popularity, and who really did push Steve to keep ticket prices low for his fans. I don't think Garth measures his success--or his happiness--by the number of zeroes after the $.
Problem is, shows in Vegas aren't for real fans. I remember reading an interview with Barry Manilow a couple of years ago in the San Jose Mercury News when he was touring here. He said he doesn't like the Vegas time constraints, where the main point is to get people in for an hour show and push them back out to plug more nickels and dollars into the slots. He said he prefers 2, 3 hours shows for fans who really appreciate the/his music. I've heard about other performers who find Vegas shows less than exciting, and get little if any energy from the people watching.

So, nobody here has been to both the encore theatre and the pearl? Just wanted to know the size comparison...
Still wondering how Wynn is evil for offering a service that people are willing to pay for by their own free will? hmmm
I have been in both but i don't recall how they compare in size. The Pearl is set-up differently then your typical theater and is probably a better venue for a concert.
