Caesars Palace Winter Classic: Feb. 10 - Mar. 1

Shortly after the WSOP Circuit hits Caesars Palace, another tournament series takes their place in the spotlight. The Winter Classic is a series of over 40 tournaments with noon and 4pm start times. The Main Event is a $500+60 NL hold'em tournament. More info can be found at:

im coming to vegas at the time of some of the caesars winter classic games, but the wynn classic has some games on at the same time. the buy in to the wynn tournaments is higher and probably a little over my budget.are there any suggestions as to which are the best tournaments ? did anyone play in them last year ? also will there be any satelittes to the wynn classics as it might be a better option to satelitte into a better tournament than just play in the caesars classics ? anyone with a thought or opinion to help me. ( i will be playing the NLH tournaments ranging between 140 -240 at caesars or the £500 wynns)

Honestly I think the turnouts at Caesars will be much higher than the Wynn's, partially due to the buying price, partially due to the fact that both structures are just as good. I've played the PLO before and really thought I got my money's worth in play time.

For the most part the price points on these tournaments are targeting different crowds I think. They do have an overlap in price point with the Caesar's $560 Main event starting on 2/25 and the Wynn Classic $550 re-entry event. These events both share the same day 2, so you can only play one or the other. The Wynn Classic event has a $250k guarantee on it, so I'll probably choose that one.
