I'm unclear as to who won. With 5 left, my tournament got crushed when I had AVP (with his bounty) all in on the flop (yes, I trapped him like a school girl in the janitor's closet) with AA against K,4 on an A,J,2 board. He hit a 3, leaving a non-diamond 5 as an out and the 5 of clubs dropped on the river. That was for about half the chips in play. Yuck... I finished 4th.
Here are the odds on this one:
Preflop, David was a 88.2% Favorite, versus Doug's 11.38%.
On the flop, David was a 96.97% Favorite, versus Doug's 3.03% On the turn, David dropped to a 93.18% Favorite versus Doug's 6.82%.
Wow. It was a hell of a hand to watch.

I've hit a one outer or two in my day, but that hand FELT like the biggest suck out I've ever put on someone, particularly so late in a tournament (and the AVP tournament nonetheless).
Sorry Yappy, "it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy "

Some of you know me as Wilma. I almost didn't come down for this, but thanks to some frequent flyer miles and a free hotel room, I joined Fred/JohnDz, and I had a blast. It was a refreshingly different (read: lubricated and boisterous) tournament environment. The tourney was mucho fun, and I LOVED the mixed game that followed. I rarely have an opportunity to play mixed games live, and some of these, I'd never played. It was a terrific opportunity to be with the AVP family.
A memorable event all the way around. Thanks, AVP and members!
Is there any free or inexpensive Internet access at Las Vegas, e.g., hotel lobbies, Internet cafes, malls or airport? I don't have a laptop, but I may want to post or search for something during my WSOP trip. Will there be any more AVP get-togethers at IP around the Main Event?

what method are you guys using to post from your rooms? Are you paying $19/day for the hotel internet access and using the TV browser? Did you bring a laptop?
I pay the money to get 24 hours of internet in my room on my laptop about every other day.

I also want to thank the entire IP staff, LVM, AVP, etc.... for a wonderful time this past weekend, despite the fact I had to rebuy twice and still finished in the bottom third. As I told LVM, my title should be changed to "Tournament Donkey" because for some reason I don't do so well when it counts. I did, however, make up for it in the mixer. My own quote/AVP slogan and shirt, from the first session of the mixer Saturday afternoon: I had scooped a couple of pots, and then I believe LVM and another player chopped one, and I came up with "Learn to scoop you donkeys!" By the way, very special thank to LasVegasMichael for letting me run the post-tourney mixed game session. I felt so powerful! By the way, you guys were right, I had plenty of time to make my flight. I spent nearly an hour waiting to board the plane. I could have easily stuck around for the second round of razz, earlier in which I won 5 of 8 pots. Oh well. Definitely looking forward to the next one, whenever it is, and I will most certainly stay an extra day so I can play the Sunday mixer. Thanks again guys!
