Hi
I am coming over from the Uk for 7 days, arriving 19th Sept, travelling on my lonesome.
I have been trying to plan some sort of poker tourney schedule so I dont get into any crappy tournaments and maximize my short stay. That Mirage tourney sounds good to me!
Do you guys wear yellow roses in your lapels or something? would love to meet up and have a chat with AVP regulars. I only found this site about a week ago and its a mine of great info on Vegas.
I have been to Vegas before, a few years ago, so I'm not a complete Vegas virgin, but everyone on this forum appear friendly and really helpful and it would be nice to meet some of the posters!

That's a cool schedule! Been too busy to hit the tables lately, but the Fri Orleans tourney might be a good one to get back in the game. Are we gonna meet up first? How about over at the food court...by Subway? Talon, thanks for setting up the free swag for us. it's been 3 months since I played at GVR (moved to Summerlin) but I dig that room, so I'm gonna make the drive. Then I can rock my GVR gear at Red Rock!

So, what's the purpose of having a "weekly showdown" meetup if there's no communication as to where and why we're supposed to meet? Guess I'll skip tonight at the Orleans. No point in going over there and try to pick out AVP'ers from a room full of poker players. I want to do a last longer bet then attempt to dominate GVR is gonna be way less crowded. Should I drive across the valley on Weds to attend? Feedback and followup would be nice! Or I can just go to more convenant rooms, for me. The "weekly showdown" looks good on paper, but I'm dissapointed. Raz

Last week we met up in front of the podium. I usually wear an AVP patch and I'm not too tough to pick out. I can't make it tonight though, I work most nights. Jon will be there tonight.

Tonight at the Orleans I took 21st for $285 & Robvegaspoker took 15th for $405, out of 239 runners. Good seeing Jon, his lovely date (?), and Minton again.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this Wednesday at GVR with the Horse tournament. Don't forget to mention AVP when signing up to get your jacket. We will also order up some pizza for everyone during the first break.
